STEAM1502: Class - 3D Printing

Learn the basics of setup, printing and finishing using TechShop's multiple 3D printers. Three-dimensional printing allows you to quickly and easily create a physical object from a computer model, literally printing thin layers of the part one at a time.This is an easy way to prototype plastic parts and make your 3D designs come to life!

In this class, students will gain a better understanding of 3D printing concepts, terminology and methods.

This class will feature a new project every session, so students can participate multiple times.

This class is for kids ages 8–16.

Parents are not required to stay following student check-in.

STEAM1503: Class - Basic Arduino: Circuits

In this class students will begin to learn the basics of the Arduino micro controller. Starting with basic circuitry and moving into how it works with the Arduino, this class will provide participants with a strong understanding of what it takes to begin to tackle various Arduino projects.

Project: Bread board lights, buttons, and switches

Level: Beginners. This class is intended for students new to the Arduino world.

Age: Kids ages 8–16

Parents are not required to stay after checking their student(s) into class.

STEAM1504: Class - Intermediate Arduino

In this class, students will begin to dig deeper into what the Arduino microcontroller can do. Using projects centered on inputs and outputs, participants will build on their basic knowledge of Arduinos.

Level: Intended for students with a basic understanding of Arduinos.

Age: Kids ages 8–16

Parents are not required to stay after checking their student(s) into class.

STEAM1851: Workshop - Build a Gift: Clock

Spend some time making a gift you can give to someone you really like this Christmas. Nothing says Happy Holidays like a handmade gift from one of our STEAM Build a Gift workshops.

Participants will be provided all the materials needed; all you need to bring is your individual creativity.

Each person who signs up for this Build a Gift class will leave with a custom-made acrylic clock after learning CorelDRAW and the laser cutters.

STEAM3001: STEAM Gamer's Club

Dragons, giant robots, goblins, and fairies have invaded TechShop in this STEAM-oriented gamers club.

Every Tuesday night and Saturday morning, the craziest of table top games will take over the STEAM room and it's up to the clubbers to design and build their way through each game. Dice towers, life counters, miniatures, and more will all be built as participants take on some of today's best and wildest board games.

By mixing STEAM elements into the games arena, we hope to give clubbers a truly unique and fun experience all while maintaining STEAM principles.

The $90 club fee gets your STEAM club member access to all 8 sessions. THAT'S 20 HOURS OF STEAM TIME FOR 90 DOLLARS !!!

Age: Kids ages 8-14

Duration: This club will take place every Tuesday night from 6PM to 8PM and on Saturdays from 9:30AM to 12:30PM.

This is a drop-in/drop-out adventure. We will be changing projects and games frequently, so if kids can't make every meeting, it's no problem.

Parents are not required to stay with their kids during this time.

STEAM3002: STEAM Art Club

Sculpting, drawing, and painting take over TechShop in this STEAM orientated art club. Every Tuesday night and Saturday morning all the creative thoughts of the STEAM clubbers will boil over as they use various techniques to bring their creations to life.
By mixing STEAM elements into the world of art, we hope to give our clubbers a truly unique and fun experience all while maintaining the principles STEAM.

Your $90 club fee gets your STEAM club member access to all 8 sessions.

This club is intended for ages 8-14
This club will run every Wednesday night from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Saturday's from 9:30 am until 12:30.

STEAM801: Arduino Saturdays

During this Saturday morning class, students will learn to build, design, and play with the Arduino open-source prototyping platform. Inputs, outputs, servos, and displays will all be at your fingertips over the course of this class. This program is built to get all levels of Arduino users going on projects that suit their level in an open world style of learning. Join us and see the awesome power of Arduinos!

This course is designed for beginner and intermediate Arduino users.

This class is for kids ages 8–17.
